Some years ago I met Rep. Jay Inslee. A politician who is driving the effort of IntelligeceAbundance by proposing legislation that will generate new Green Jobs, and propel a deluge of eco-preneurialism. He wrote a very inspiration book titled "Apollo's Fire: Igniting America's Clean Energy Economy." Jay Inslee is a recognized leader in Congress on energy issues and is the prime sponsor of the New Apollo Energy Act, a comprehensive plan to build a clean energy economy in America.
Today Jay Inslee is pushing further by introducing the "Renewable Energy Jobs and Security Act" which similarly to the EU's Feed-in-Tariff legislation, it requires:
1. A guarantee to interconnect renewable energy to the grid with uniform standards
2. A mandatory purchase requirement through long-term contracts with fixed tariffs
3. A rate-recovery through a regional cost-sharing and systems benefit charge
